Like Crack for Chowder Hounds

Of course that depends on your preferences. If you like clam chowder the consistency of wall paper paste with bacon and who knows what else masking the subtle clam flavor, this isn't your cuppa. But if you like perfectly prepared chowder with firm cooked veges and clams in a delicious broth, treat yourself and try Hattie's. But don't pass up...

Usually go to one or two other places to eat in Hallowell, but wanted to try something different, and had not eaten here. It wasn't crowded and the food was good, but not excellent. I would certainly go back!

we took our daughter their for lunch . price a bit high but not out of sight . I had the sea food platter no fries coleslaw instead the slaw was great . the seafood was very tasty and a very light batter . daughter had the crab sandwich and loved it .

Walked...walked out

I couldn't tell you what the food was like because we didn't actually end up eating here. We walked in to an empty restaurant on a beautiful evening where all other eating establishments were bursting at the seems. That was red flag number 1. Flag # 2, it smelled like old fish. Not the nice seafood restaurant smell you experience...
