I have been going to Hartt estate sales since mid 2012. About 25% of the furniture in my house is from Hartt estate sales. The owner is always nice and negotiable on the prices. It is a lot of fun finding a treasure at a Hartt estate sale.

I recently conducted an estate sale with michael hartt from hartt antiques gallery. Michael hartt sold approximatly $10,000 of my items then ran with the money. The payment was due nearly a month ago and the man runs from me when he sees me. I had to hire a private investigator, and file a police report. We are now going to small claims court. I purchased over $2500 worth of items from Michael Hartt at his galler in Gross Point. I was contacted about 4 weeks later and told that the items I purchased were in fact stolen. I was also told he sold over $10,000 worth of stolen merchandise including guns and switchblades at that sale. Went to their shop for an advertised sale of a famous local Ad man, wow what a mess. The shop looked like someone opened the door and just shoved a bunch of junk in the door. The advertised items were very few when it was made to look like there would be much to sort through. The prices were ridiculous ! This shop is filthy and I will never go to a sale there again
