Help us make it rightI became Dr Hardy's patient 2 yrs ago and was happy with his work. Although it was a minor procedure, I was happy with the outcome. For this reason, I chose him to do my breast aug this year. I consulted with Marc Clayman, and was torn between the two. I chose Dr. Hardy because he seemed a bit more polished than my other choice. Today, I feel I made a huge mistake. Dr. Hardy was over $900 more expensive, and I am extremely dissappointed with my results. I am less than 3 mos post op and I already know I'm going to need revision work. Worst of all, I feel that he does not listen to how concerned and disappointed I am. Instead he's used words like "it's not that big of a deal' when I pointed out an obvious flaw with the position and shape of my breast. While I know no one's perfect, I don't think it is very nice to make a patient feel like the have to live with something they're not happy with or make them feel awkward for being open with their plastic surgeon. I believe that when you give a surgeon your hard earned money, (close to $5,000 in my case), a person kind of expects their doctor to walk them through pre, and post operative care and for concerns to be given the attention they deserve. I seriously feel there is a problem with the surgery and so do my friends and my husband. However, Dr Hardy insists it turned out perfect? If he truly feels that way, then I'm worried his standards for results are set low. If he's simply being condescending then I'm insulted and let down after trusting him with my body. My last attempt to communicate the progressively poor result of my surgery was in the form of an email over a week ago that he is yet to reply to. I feel left out in the cold with the feeling I made a mistake in choosing him. He asked me to see him in 6 weeks to re-evaluate the the problem he pretty much implied was all in my head. I will see him in June and don't know what will come out of it. In the meantime, I have had to use surgical tape under my breast o keep the shape round because otherwise it distinctly collapses into a wierd squared off shape. In the meantime, I am scheduling a consult for a 2nd opinion with guess who? Yes, Dr. Mark Clayman. I feel bad that I didn't give him a chance, but having see his work now, I know I should have. I have also referred several friends to Dr. Hardy, but am now asking to reconsider him after what I've experienced I will re-post after both my post op w/ Dr. Hardy and consult w/ Dr Clayman.
I was extremely surprised about the great detail and care that I received from Dr. James Hardy and his staff. They did a phenomenal job. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Plastic Surgery Consultation in Florida.
