Hampton is positioned to direct national dialog on the Confederate history, slavery and race history. By abdicating this responsibility we are cheated of any notable influence on social advancement. Even the things that make us uncomfortable need to be boldly displayed to inspire future generations to heal and empower those who will inherit this country.
