They have so many great books in here and the prices are a little stiff but what I suggest is that if there is a book that you want, buy it, don’t wait for it to go.

Just there a few days ago and got assistance with finding books immediately. Checked out and it only took a couple minutes. Good experience all around. Maybe the day of the week (Thursday) and time of day (early afternoon) made the difference. I've always had a satisfying experience there and the staff has always been courteous at the Bedford, TX Half Price Book Store.

Older Bookstore - staff not as friendly

Compared to a couple of the newer stores I've been in, this location in mid-Cities is older, dirtier, messy and, based on 1 visit, not as friendly.

As always, I find a large selection, but most of the times can't find the ""latest"" titles in paperback that I like. At this store, the clerks check out - no one available to help out with browsing questions.

I find Half-Books a change of pace from Barnes & Noble - but not a replacement.

Not worth the wait

Took almost an hour and a half to have them give me an offer on 2 small boxes of books. There were tons of employees there but only a couple actually doing any work. I will probably give my books to Goodwill next time. Its not worth the long wait time and hassle.
