We had an excellent dinner at guidos this evening. BYOB was probably the best part of the meal plus the food was excellent so that shows you how much I like my alcohol. the service was fantastic...

I got take out randomly because I was dog sitting nearby and was so glad I gave it a try. The hostess/waitress was warm and friendly. The garlic bread was amazing, so flavorful! Guido's is not fancy, but it has amazing food made to order. The special sauce is by far the most flavorful and delicious you'll ever try if you love garlic. The marsala (veal or chicken) cannot be beaten. It may not make your list of fancy, but it is home made and fresh and if you love food it is...

Guido's restaurant is so inconspicuous, tucked in next to Big Alice's ice cream on the East Side's lower Hope Street, that you might easily miss it. With its low lighting and celebrity photos on the wall, the atmosphere is intimate and the simple and freshly prepared Italian food is very good. Best to get there early to increase the chance you will get a seat in the cozy but small dining area....
