Just wanted to post an updated that the owner of Griff's chicken shack has decided to close the doors on this fantastic little place. It is sad, but it sounds like its for a positive reason. Hope to see him in the Hamden area again someday.

A little southern hospitality in Hamden, CT. Griff's is well worth the time, effort, and cost to pick up some quality "fast food". The sweet tea is a delight. You can't beat the chicken fingers here... crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, tons of flavor (not tons of salt), and great dipping sauces. The fries are excellent. Griff's Chicken Shack is a great, albeit unique example of a combination of fine dining and fast food. All of their ingredients are of the highest quality, made from scratch and cooked-to-order. And yet, their prices and the speed at which they produce this magnificent food make this a place that one can frequent and bring the whole family.
