Greenville Bar & Grill Restaurant Review

New ownership has revived Greenville Bar & Grill following the fire that had caused it to close. Executive Chef Richard Sipovic (formerly of the Bellagio in Las Vegas and Libertine in Dallas) offers "low-country Southern" fare, including house-made corn dogs, rabbit pot pie and made-to-order funnel cake with Bourbon sauce.

This place was good. I ordered the $5 Nachos Thursday special and date ordered chicken fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes and jalapeño gravy. Both were good portions and tasted pretty OK . I will go back for drinks and other menu items I'd like to try.

This is the second time I have gone to GBG and its fantastic. Its a definitely a local bar kind of a place that you wouldn't think of as a great food place, don't let its pool table dartboard and "rustic" look fool you. The food is FANTASTIC!! Try it.

Food was good, but way too greasy. Service was amazingly slow considering we were the only customers.
