The waitress couldn't give a "hoot" who we were and didn't say more than needed. The food was regular American breakfast food with an added touch of grease. The french toast wasn't very good and I don't know how you can get that wrong. The decor was quaint but this is really just a carb fest breakfast diner. Nothing special....

Seated fast, treated like family. The staff was very friendly. There are a lot of local regulars (my favorite kinda place).
Prices are fair. Portions were average but filling. Not a lot but not to little. Flavors were good but a few things seemed unfinished ie:no butter on the toast but it came out cool so my butter didn't melt...

The women there are amazing, the food is amazing. The owls are everywhere in there. Totally worth the stop!

Everytime we visit Monterey I have to go to Grandmas at least once. I like the homey feel. We have been going there for years and our family photo is actually on the family wall behind the register.
