Bit of a dark unknown, Grand Trunk is a good place to go after a hard day of work. Plenty of local beers on tap, friendly staff, and decent bar food. Menu changes from time to time, and usually stays pretty local. I always suggest this place to people who are new to the downtown area of Detroit

The line was too long at Dime Shop, and we ended up here. They mysteriously seated us in a dank, musty room and informed us they didn't have half the menu items. Went on a recommendation from the hotel I was staying in. The food was pretty typical of a brew pub and was cooked well but nothing special. Large selections of craft and national brews for you beer lovers. The hard peach cider was different and quite tasty. The historical building was interesting to visit.

We stopped for dinner and had a good experience. Our server was a little flighty but the orders were correct. The McGee sandwich was decent. A friend had the Reuben and really enjoyed it. Really great beer selection.
