The Grafton is not your typical Irish pub. You won't find any shamrocks, tacky bric-a-brac or walls full of TVs here, only a cozy pub where you can have a good conversation over a properly poured pint. The food specialties are the traditional dishes you would find in a pub in Ireland such as the Beef and Guinness Stew, Sheppard's Pie, Dublin Coddle and Chicken Curry.

Neighborhood pub in Lincoln Square, great beer and whiskey selection, pub-grub comfort food, live folk music

Editorial reviews from the web (3)

A "classic Irish" pub setting provides the backdrop for a "great beer selection" and solid bar eats like "wonderful burgers" at this affordable Lincoln Square hangout; "friendly" staffers contribute to an atmosphere that "makes you want to pop in on a cold winter evening and stay indefinitely", and concertgoers advise checking it out "before a show" at nearby Old Town School of Folk Music.

This Irish-themed pub flaunts dark, wood-paneling, predictable bar food and a chill, if not a little tedious vibe. If you're lucky and arrive early, you can pile in around the fireplace but it's more likely you'll end up sitting on one of the high-backed chairs oddly pushed up against the wall. Live Irish and American folk bands keep the dudes with receding hairlines coming back to sip a pint...

This modern, welcoming pub serves Ireland's favorite food and drinks to a burgeoning northern neighborhood.

I came here last night with a couple of people. We enjoyed the beer options and the casual vibe. We ordered the potato skins for an appetizer and they were just OK. You only get 4 of them and they...
