Great mom & pop music store in Clovis. No attitudes & egos you would expect from the other MEGAstore. You know, the walmart of the music industry GuitarCenter. Gottschalks Music had Great service. We rented a violin from them for my daughter. Her father was supposed to be making the payments but kept forgeting. We went up to 3 months with out making a payment. I was concerned about them just repossesing the violin. instead they were very understanding with me. It would have been a shame if my daughter would have had to drop out of band for lack of no instrument.

Dissapointed with their customer service on back order items. They don't know when the order goes out, when the item gets shipped or if it is shipped, and when it will arrive. They say it usually takes 1.5 week to 2 week, but later they say the order only goes out once a week. My advice, if you need an item within 3 weeks (who don't?), do not wait for their back order.
