Goldrush Cafe is a mom-and-pop kind of place. Funky art hangs on the brick walls as ever-preset owner George Sanchez takes orders and greets folks from the neighborhood. Sanchez's face adorns the record-shaped menu, which could be paying homage to the many rockers who have dined on chicken-fried steak or toast and eggs here. Very good breakfast for the money my eggs are cooked just perfectly medium the ham steak was excellent as was the coffee. Friendly atmosphere and good staff.

Great small neighborhood restaurant in East Dallas (Skillman and Live Oak) located in strip center. Great for breakfast but can get crowded on weekends. Lots of regular customers. Food is good and service is always friendly. Inexpensive.
