Giovanni's in Beachwood among Zagat Survey's top restaurants in U.S. : Restaurant Row

Restaurateur Carl Quagliata phoned Tuesday with great news. His much-respected Giovanni's Ristorante has achieved a new level of acclaim, with word from Zagat Survey that it will be including the restaurant among the top 120 restaurants in America.

Some confusion arose after I recently noted that restaurateur Carl Quagliata was orchestrating a big transformation of Giovanni's in Beachwood. The restaurant is not closed. Even if one room in the restaurant is under construction, the rest of the space will be open for guests.

Chicken Parmigiano and Chilean Bass were both excellent. Service was also excellent. Our brownie dessert made for a fitting end to our dining. Finding restaurant and entrance was not easy on our first visit. We will definitely return to try other entrees.
