When the "mood for Chicago-style pizza" strikes, this locally grown chain is an "excellent standby", delivering "on-point" deep-dish pies, including especially "great stuffed" versions; a "nice selection" of "traditional" Italian dishes like pastas and parms rounds out the menu, and while some locales offer craft brews, sangria and cocktails, others are BYOB.

Good pizza

For our first dinner in Chicago on this trip, we found Giordano's - probably because the bright big sign outside. It had a good feel of a real traditional pizzeria in the US. The food was good but portions were quite large form a European perspective.

We ordered two medium deep dish pizzas and an order of mozzarella wedges to be delivered to our hotel. The food was delicious. The restaurant quoted an hour for delivery which arrived right on time. The delivery driver did not bring the order into the hotel lobby, however, we did have to search for him on the street and go...

I was wondering how their stars were so low. I ordered a pizza that was suppose to take 45 minutes to cook. I got there in exactly 45 minutes to be told it wasn't ready. Then I get to work out in the burbs to find out that they burnt my pizza. Like they knew it wasn't edible but still gave it to me. NEVER WILL I BE BACK HERE. NEVER!!!

I tried the meat and more meat deep dish, it was very tasty!! The wait is long ~40 min for the pizza but not wait to be seated (at least weekday evening) Lots of meat and cheese stuffed in it.. all the meats can make it a bit salty but I actually enjoyed that
