This is a really great restaurant. It is small and quaint. And the waitresses are dressed beautifully in Japanese Kimono's. The food is excellent. And the Ginger Ice cream is to die for
“Beautifully crafted sushi” plus a “variety of excellent cooked” fare at “average” prices comprise the “broad menu” at these “reliable”, separately owned Brookline and Chinatown Japaneses; “friendly servers” navigate the “relaxed” environs, which on Hudson Street include a “tatami room” and 3:30 AM weekend closing times.
With late-night hours that stretch until 3:30 a.m. some evenings, Ginza attracts a vibrant, mixed crowd that ranges from destination diners and twentysomethings to just-off-work chefs and students burning the midnight oil. And while the interior could use a facelift, the food remains consistently fresh and plentiful. Boiled edamame and a sampling from the massive sushi menu is a nice start...
In Short
Three sushi chefs are in perpetual motion, constructing the complicated maki rolls that are locally famous. Large numbers of Japanese patrons speak to the authenticity of the...
On a side street in Chinatown, you'll find one of the city's best Japanese restaurants. Track down the nondescript entrance up the street from the Chinatown arch, settle into one of the two rooms (in a booth, if you're lucky), and watch as kimono-clad waitresses glide past, bearing sushi boats the size of small children. Ginza is a magnet for Japanese expatriates, sushi-lovers, and, in the wee...
Stayed at the Revere and happened to find this great place on Stuart. Picked sushi from the bar, and is was close to perfect. Fish cut not too thick but thick enough for a dinner. Rice perfect, right texture, taste and temperature.
Consistent food and service - a great place for sushi before you head to the Wilbur or out on the town!
We've never been here before and were on a mission for sushi, by chance we stumbled upon this place and it was great! Good sushi and nice staff.
The selection of entrees and sushi was excellent and the food was very good. The ambiance was good. Waitresses were polite and friendly.
We waited almost an hour for our daughter’s chicken teriyaki which is a long time for a kid to wait for dinner – especially when everyone else got their food 20 minutes before her.
We love Ginza and go every time we get the chance. My husband recommends the sushi and I LOVE the miso soup. Even the little side salad has a fantastic dressing. I just wished they offered my favorite - The Bento Box at dinner as well as lunch. The back room has sunken booths and a really fun atmosphere for...

The flagship Ginza location in Chinatown transcends its simple decor with a long roster of traditional Japanese dishes, swimmingly fresh sushi, and creative maki menu. Open until 4 a.m. and often full the whole time.
Award winning restaurant featuring a multitude of authentic and innovative Japanese dishes.
Recognized as having some of Boston's freshest, tastiest sushi, this popular restaurant also serves until late in the night. Signature maki rolls are good enough to transform first-timers into regulars, and other Japanese dishes like yakiniku and nabemono-barbecue also prove satisfying. Waitresses decked out in traditional Japanese kimonos hurry about the room, making sure guests are...
Make sure to remove your shoes if you're dining in the tatami mat room.
