A rich winery with a checkered past.

In Short
The ivy-covered building is set in the midst of acres of picturesque vineyards, rambling along on gently rolling hills. The tasting room staff here is informative and very good...

Petra and the Wine

I stopped here after visiting the Silver Oak Winery... my favorite wine but a very bland tasting presentation..
Geyser Peak is impressive from the road and even nicer once inside....
Petra was our Host and she made for a fun, entertaining time after the impersonal Silver Oak tasting.

Several friends and I stopped into Geyser Peak on February 23rd. We had the pleasure of Linda Sanders-Kemp providing us with a tasting. Linda has been with Geyser Peak Winery for a long time and was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. All of us purchased wine and look forward to our next visit. Thank you for making the experience...

We've visited Geyser Peak several times and we always find it to be an enjoyable tasting experience. The winery is in a nice building, the staff has always been friendly and there is a large selection of wines, many of which aren't found in stores. The wines are good. They will be moving to a new location close to Healdsburg...

Many of the Geyser Peak wines are available in stores, but the winery has some that aren't, and they are very good quality. Tasting room is not crowded and service is friendly.

We dropped in to Geyser Peak's tasting room during our recent Sonoma County trip. Very friendly service, and excellent wines. The wine-tasting fee was within the usual range for tasting rooms in the area. BUT: we had a copy of Wine Country magazine (free at many area hotels), and took advantage of a 2-for-1 tasting offer in the discounts/special offers...

Geyser Peak Winery's roots in Sonoma County winemaking run deep. Founded in 1880 by Augustus Quitzow, one of Sonoma County's pioneer winemakers, the original winery was built in Geyserville in 1882. Perched on a hillside across from Geyser Peak Mountain, the winery claimed a view of the clouds of thermal steam that billowed from the mountain's summit.
