This has been an old friend for me for 30 + years. Good food and a charming atmosphere. I no longer work nearby and I need to get back more often.

Worth finding this hide-away

Don't let the dark exterior fool you, the place is worth the adventure. Grilled chicken and fries - you won't go wrong. They have a full bar, which is lively. Dining area is separate and it definitely works.

I find that Gervasoni's Restaurant is not even mentioned in many of the internet sites for Modesto restaurants. Why not? If they mention Bella Italia, which serves canned and frozen vegetables and pasta, why wouldn't they mention a place that serves fresh, delicious meats and vegetables prepared well?
