Dr. Ertel is chatty and easy-going. It can be difficulty to schedule an appointment with him, but I have never had an emergency, so am not sure about this. He is very knowledgable about the hand, and has helped me to think about mine. He doesn't jump to the surgical option, and, in fact, has prescribed splints for me as a first line treatment.
