If you are looking for some Fish & Chips with an irresistible tartar sauce and other deep fried delicacies, then Gene's is the place to go.  Delicious clams and scallops, lobster rolls and stuffed quahogs and the best clam chowder I've ever tasted. Connie was always the perfect owner/hostess.  Under new ownership now and hopefully the food standard remains.

Fried seafood at its best, the fried clams are the best I've tasted, the batter is crispy and not dripping in oil, shrimp, fish, scallops, quahogs, lobster rolls you name it they probably have it!everything is as fresh as can be! Not good for your cholesterol but if you feel like something deep fried and yummy it's the place to go.

My wife and I came in from philly to stay at the Hampton inn. Asked the front desk for best seafood, they sent us here. I was looking forward to some great steamers (fresh steamed clams) but...

this use to be the go to place for seafood back in the day, especially when the original owners ran it. the seafood could not be beat. fast forward to present day... i rarely get seafood from here...

Gene's Famous Seafood is located at 146 Huttleston Ave., Fairhaven, MA 02719. On Route 195, take the Fairhaven exit to the second set of lights, then turn right on Route 6. Follow for approximately half a mile and you're here!
