We are here after the Zoo-da-Mack annual bike ride event.
We had fortunate weather and were able to sit outside in the beautiful sun. We started with a number of appetizers for our group which everyone enjoyed. Everyone also enjoyed their mains. The menu was varied with everyone able to find something of interest.

We were so disappointed with our dinner the previous evening at the Grand that we opted to go casual and walk down to the Gate House on our second night (would have preferred the Jockey Club or the Woods, but they were not open yet). We ate lunch at the Gate House and enjoyed our meal.. A bit pricey (but what isn't pricey on the island), but excellent service and a friendly staff.

We visited Mackinac Island over Labor Day weekend. Growing up in Michigan, we've traveled to Mackinac Island many times. We used to eat at this restaurant when it was The French Outpost. A casual restaurant/bar part of Grand Hotel and just a short walk down Grand Hill. Serving lunch, dinner, and beverages inside and outside. Come enjoy the patio on a nice day if you are just visiting the island for the day. Hope to see you soon!
