The Gaslight retains much of the charm of its single-family past, while offering contemporary and artistic touches not typically seen in a B&B. Rooms range from a crow's nest with peeled-log furniture and Navajo-print fabrics to a more traditional suite with Arts and Crafts-style furnishings, a fireplace, and stained-glass windows. The large common areas evoke a gentlemen's club, with deer...

Anyone enamored of Craftsman bungalows and the Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th century should enjoy a stay in this 1906 home. Throughout the inn are numerous pieces of Stickley furniture, and everywhere you turn you'll see oak trim framing the doors and windows. In summer, guests can swim in the backyard pool or lounge on the deck. Guest rooms continue the design themes of the common...

Located in the renovated Woolworth Building downtown, the lively Rum Bay is a massive nightclub sporting a wall full of rum bottles and a tropical theme. Disc jockeys spin records for two dance floors; there’s also a piano bar featuring dueling players. The entire block contains a number of additional bars under the same management, ranging from Cowboys , to “the world’s smallest bar,” to Rum...

Quaint, charming, quiet on Capitol Hill

I had a delightful 5-night stay at the Gaslight Inn. As I was either on foot or using local mass transit, its location was central enough that I was walking downtown or around Capitol Hill most of the trip, resorting to Uber to climb the hill after dinner.
My ample room on the 2eme etage was at the head of...

The staff is so sweet; the fireplace provides a wonderfully relaxing tone; the continental breakfast is just what I need every morning. There's nowhere else I would rather stay in Seattle than the Gaslight Inn... I can't wait to go back!

A great getaway

We live in the Seattle area, and my wife & I decided to do a local mini-vacation as a Christmas gift to each other. We wanted to be "car-less in Seattle", so we wanted someplace centrally-located, but not downtown. The Gaslight Inn filled the bill perfectly. Bus stops are located about a block away, and we were usually downtown in...

A great place to stay in Seattle. Really felt like a home and not a hotel or even a B&B. The staff was very friendly and always greeted me by name. The hotel was clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. This will be the place I stay whenever I return to Seattle!

Beautiful house in great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Seattle, in large part due to the hospitality shown to us by owner/host Bennett. On the day of our arrival, Bennett marked a whole lot of places to eat and visit on a map. This made such a huge difference to our stay and his insights into each place were spot on.
