Editorial reviews from the web (5)

Full-to-bursting with brasseries as Boston is these days, it has nonetheless managed to squeeze one more in---and South Enders couldn't be more jazzed. After all, they've long been loyal to Aquitaine for its loyalty, in turn, to French… Read More

"Capturing the spirit" of an "adorable" French brasserie, this "lively" "standby" delivers a "touch of Paris" to the South End via "terrific" fare for "reasonable" rates; with a patio, "buzzing" bar scene and "pleasant" staffers, it's a "Jack-of-all-trades" fit "for every occasion."

Gaslight, Brasserie du Coin Restaurant Review

Gaslight, a sibling of Aquitaine, cleanly translates the French brasserie experience with an interior design that evokes Art Deco-era Paris with mirrors, dark wood and high ceilings; raucous energy emanating from the zinc bar and the communal table; and lengthy hours of operation that make it an option for afternoon shoppers and midnight haunt-hoppers as well as prime-time diners. Zinc bar, mosaic tile, and stress worn mirrors give relatively brand new room a lived-in history. Cafe tables, booths, and a large bar that wraps in a corner around the front dining room. Under $20 entrees are a steal in quality (sauteed skate, duck...

Stylish, all-purpose brasserie lures armchair gourmands and well-dressed couples to lightly treaded Harrison Ave.

In Short
Befitting its name (French for ""brasserie on the corner""), Gaslight provides the far reaches of the South End with a welcoming neighborhood hangout. The Aquitaine Group...

Was a really delicious dinner for an early Valentine's Day dinner with my boyfriend. I highly recommend the steak frites or the chocolate beignets! Their rose is also lovely.

Once again, I had a good experience at Gaslight. The service at the bar and at our table was attentive without being overbearing, the beverages were made just right, and the food was delicious and prepared in a timely fashion. Every time I go, I ask myself why I do not come here more often.

Great food, but service was not up to standards this time around. First time though, I love going to Gaslight
