What a great find! I love this restaurant - they have consistently great food with great service. There are few restaurants I have been to in NYC that solicit a direct response to "where do you want to eat tonight", but Gamma is one of them! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but I totally favor the tofu with kimchi and pork and the kimchi pancake. Awesome restaurant and a must try...
Much more spacious than the other restaurants on St. Marks and has a nice setting. The food was tasty, and the servers were really friendly and attentive to our needs. I never found myself with an unfilled glass of water! If you're looking for a change of pace from the restaurants in K-town, then don't be afraid to give this spot a try!
but the last time I went there, we got the usuals, and they tasted different. It was still good, but Dak do ri tang was significantly less spicy, which was a let down. Did anyone else notice?
The place is cute, cozy, and very charming (adorable interior!). Had the KalBi Jjim and LOVED IT! Great service; try the watermelon soju!
I visited Gama for the first time over Valentine's day and I have to say that it was a good choice. The service was attentive and helpful when we had questions even with the language barrier, (as our server did not speak English as her first language).The food itself was great. For dessert we ate pancakes cooked in duck fat, a burnt marshmallow maple ice cream baked Alaska, and a banana split with maple syrup cotton candy, candied nuts, burnt marshmallow, and hardened sugar pie filling stuff For lunch on this day we ate a tasty duck confit salad, and a well presented fish of the day, all served with choice of soup
