FACT: Daniel has one of the best asses this side of China. Now this isn't me being conceited. My butt looks great in all kinds of jeans, trousers, etc. Men, women, elves, Halflings, dwarves, all sorts of people and creatures tell me so. It's genetics and the fact that I do capoeira. Despite my own criticisms of it, large sections of the population are fans. What this all means is that this asset requires pants that are stylish and of high quality. Enter G-Star. Yes, it's true: G-Star is relatively expensive denim...but listen, you gotta PAY to dress well! Right now, I am actually wearing a pair of twill pants from G-Star that, on sale, cost USD 120 without tax. But, OMG, my butt looks even more amazing in them! J.Lo currently WEEPING in her hands because her pram-pushing fanny isn't what it was and she knews that my bunda is out there, stealing stares and not making me rich. Yes, it's true: G-Star Raw has a corner on the S.W.A.T team chic. Yes, it's tragically hip. If you don't like it, don't wear it. Or FUCK OFF, Dull-As-Dishwater Derrick and Plain-Ass Jane! This location is smaller than the SoHo G-Star Raw, but the staff is much more helpful. They also know to leave your ass alone and they don't try to oversell you. It's always a good sign when the sales associates look good in the clothing they are selling. So if you don't wanna blow USD 200 for denim that--in terms of style--is right up there with Diesel, then save USD 40 or so and go to G-Star. Ain't nothing wrong with looking like you take out stank muthafuckaz for a living.

Great jeans, bad location and parking! With all of the street parking clear and open on a Friday afternoon, I was excited to find a perfect pair of jeans. The Victory parking staff was quick to stand in the way of my car and knock on my window abruptly to order me to park far away in a parking lot. The street parking is only for residents, despite no soles in sight. The parking people were so rude and ganged up on me to argue that I needed to move my car immediately. Based on this experience, I will wait until I am in NY to buy G Star or go to Diesel for great service, selection, and oh yeah parking. If you are wanting a pair of jeans from G-Star, get ready to defend yourself and wear some serious walking shoes.
