Help us make it right
My son has attended this camp for two years, and he's had a lot of fun. The first week (usually right after school ends) is SET Camp (Science, Engineering & Technology). For four days and three nights campers work on projects, swim, hike, and do other camp items like archery or crafts. Last year, our son made root beer!
During regular camp, you can pick from a variety of activities including survival skills, canoeing, archery, air rifles or black powder rifles, pottery, theater, etc. The counselors are sensitive to your child's needs; as an example, our son is slightly autistic - with his social skills impacted - and he tends to not mix with large groups of kids on free activity times. They called concerned and I explained how they could draw him into an activity and socialize.
Our son would rather be at camp than home, so I think he likes it! It's also easier on the pocketbook than other sleepaway options.
