Fry's Buyer Beware and Forget a service contract!

"I do not recommend purchasing anything from this store. And especially do not even consider getting a service contract as they have no intention of honoring it. I bought a $600 HP Sleekbook 6 in Feb 2013 and stupidly paid another $140 for the two year service contract because the salesman said it would cover anything. My screen started going out and when I took it back to them they accused me of dropping it or damaging it and said the service contract would not cover that. I have had 6 laptops over 25 years and never had a screen problem. They can and will accuse you of damaging the computer and causing whatever the problem is. I told the manager that 1) the computer was on my desk for the last week and 2) their salesman told me that the service contract would cover anything. Oh and I called ahead to make sure I could bring it in on the service contract and get the promised "loaner" under the service contract before driving the 70 miles round trip! I will never buy anything at Fry's again! They lie and have no concept of "customer service". They rip you off. Buyer Beware!!"
