Front Street Market & Catering

Have eaten lunch here a few times...always crowded (which is a good sign). They serve soup and sandwich lunches. You only get two options of each from a menu that changes daily. The Italian sandwiches and soups have been well prepared on each of our visits. Not fancy, just down to earth "BUTTE GOOD". After lunch you can lose yourself for hours looking at rooms full of specialty food items found...

I love the set up of the store and it's products but the service is far from friendly and in addition to this we where ripped off at check out. I am from Holland and live in Missoula, we went to the market to see what kind of European goods they had to offer. When I walked in I got a crappy remark about my colorful summer dress. I visit this market monthly and purchase my cheese. I have always enjoyed my visits until this past weekend. My husband and I were in front of the cheese coolers and a very rude young lady stepped right in front of us and started straightening the cheese. We would have purchased our cheese supply for the month, but our shopping was so rudely interrupted by this employee that it is possible we will not make this one of our stops again while visiting Butte. I would hope the business owners will take time to train their employees and let them know what keep there business afloat.

After shopping at the Front Street Market for years, I can only say that I have NEVER had poor service or had anyone be rude to me. The owners and their staff are very helpful and curteous. The store is full of treasures that you don't find in your supermarkets, nor will you be treated as well. Kudos to Front Street Market and staff!

I have been to the Front St. Market many times, and have NEVER had anything but courtious service. The food served at lunch is VERY fresh (soup and sandwiches) and very moderatly priced. Always delicious. Best wine and beer selection in the state. It is the first place I visit when traveling to Butte!
