I took a trip to Wamego with some girlfriends and we decided to have lunch at the Friendship House. The restaurant itself is pretty cool as it is in an old house. There are baked goods for sale as well as breakfast and lunch.
We went for lunch and were disappointed. Nothing on the menu really stood out to me...

This place was so welcoming. The owner treated us as family and my omelette was one of the best I've had. The baked goods are delightful. If you find yourself in Wamego make sure to follow the yellow brick road to Friendship House.

Cleanliness needs to be improved

I meet family here a couple a times a year to catch up and am always happy with the food and baked goods selection.
Over the last couple years I have noticed the cleanliness of the place has slacked off. Also the staff wasn't as friendly, I wonder why people work in places and are obviously not happy there....I mean,...

If you want the best food in a great town this is the place to go without any hesitation at all. I loved every bite and will be back.

The Friendship House has added locally grown Bison burgers as the Monday lunch special. Very tasty and reasonable for only $7 including a side dish. Definitely worth the visit.
