Help us make it rightThe decor in the dining room at this comfortable Mexican restaurant is devoted to the owner's artistic inspiration, Frida Kahlo. Expect a menu of classic dishes prepared by experienced cooks, and periodic appearances from the owner herself. Enjoy the house sangria, or a lime margarita. Slightly lower-key than its Andersonville sister, new addition to the Southport corridoor is a welcome one, with nary another Mexican joint in sight. Tangy, housemade margs, perfectly-sweet sangria and a well-blended dish of guac should get you started. Follow those with some chile rellenos or plantain enchiladas with the mole negro (the owner's grandmother's recipe) on the little outdoor...

If you come during lunch or for an early dinner, parking shouldnt a problem---provided there isnt a Cubs game. When there is, its best to take public transportation since there are parking restrictions on many streets.
Heading to Wrigleyville? The restaurant plans to host Cubs-themed events and brunches before games, so call ahead to see what's on the docket.
Margaritas and sangria are the main focus of the drink menu. However, the house-made cazuela gets props in the creativity department. Its a blend of fresh-squeezed orange, grapefruit, lime and lemon juices with tequila and brandy that arrives in its namesake clay bowl.
