Well, it took forever to get our food handed out their window, and when we got home and opened the bag, we learned why. Our burgers were burned-- bitter, crispy, crunchy!
We live near this place, and rarely go there--maybe once before--but probably will be a long time before we are there again. Steak and Shake has nothing to fear...

What a delightful little place - I know there are several in KC and a couple in STL too. Decor is like the old hamburger and malt shops long ago.
Clean, great menus and easy to decide what you want.
Frozen custard is excellent and light. Many flavors and toppings available.
