THIS RESTAURANT IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS Incorporated into the front of the Italian design studio Driade (the company’s first American venture) is this casual-chic café. What better hangout for this artsy neighborhood than a restaurant where patrons can eat, then buy the designer place settings? As for the eats, the word “café” may bring to mind sandwiches, but Fratelli is actually...
Wouldn't have thought the glassed-in Driade showroom entrance would become the best, most authentic Italian joint in the Design District. Still under the radar. Italian soda made on site. A scene for artsy foodies that appreciate a six-ounce glass of wine and healthy, fresh Slow Food. They pack the place for antipasti straight out of Umbria, reasonably-sized (read: European) portions and laid...
We've heard of restaurants housed in markets and even department stores, but this Design District standout appropriately resides in a fabulously industrial modern furniture showroom. And while the not-so-comfy but cool-looking chairs you'll be sitting on may be for sale at an astronomical price, when it comes to the wine and cheese, well, they're bargain-basement in comparison. Owned by a...
Fratelli Lyon lures Design District denizens, European expats, and members of the Latin American art world for some of the best Italian food in town. Dapper servers in gray henleys lend knowledgeable advice as you choose which Italian cheeses to round out a sampler appetizer (semihard montegrappa pairs well with triple-milk la tur and gorgonzola di montagna) or the best selection of marinated...
Great italian restaurant. Food is extremely fresh and definitely has that homemade taste. Great to go with friends or family but also a great date night spot.
why bother with Rome, Milan, or Napoli...better food, certainly superior service, pay in dollars..not euros, outside and inside seating BEST BURRATA!! EvER!! makes little Italy or NY, second best!
A must visit if you are into beautiful stuff
good food , too bad they closed down
Located in Miami's "Design District", this restaurant was recommended by friend and did not disappoint. Food was good to excellent and the service was perfect. The place has an open, friendly look and feel to it. Valet parking for $3.00 was well worth it and made it that much easier to relax and enjoy. Would definitely go back.
Welcome to Fratelli Lyon! Get ready to be transported from Miami to the streets of Italy, even if just for a little bit. Our chefs are inspired by a wide variety of Italian regions and aim at providing you with a unique experience and heightened taste sensations. So please, have a sip (or many) of wine and savor our selection of antipasti and other culinary delights. Take the time to experience...
The Extras: The restaurant takes its environmentally-friendly stance seriously. Organic produce is procured from local farmers. A charcoal water filtration system is sued to triple filter its sparkling waters and homemade sodas.
When to Go: If pizzas and panini sandwiches are more your speed, hit the restaurant for lunch when you have several choices on the menu.
Know Before You Go: Some house specialties are served on specific days. For instance, osso buco is offered on Saturday or an Arabian lamb stew with couscous on Tuesday.
