Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q opened their Dekalb Avenue restaurant in August 2007. With a loyal following already built up, the restaurant thrived in the Candler Park neighborhood. In August 2012, disaster struck when a 100-year-old tree fell on top of the restaurant's two main dining rooms. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Jonathan and Justin were overwhelmed by the support from community and it was with...
Texas natives Jonathan and Justin Fox, identical twins, top the city's leaders in the barbecue genre. They also are the official barbecue purveyors to the Atlanta Falcons football stadium. Originally, the building was a filling station, but the renovation necessitated by a falling oak tree eliminated remaining vestiges of the former bays’ roll-up doors, while leaving the slightly wacky interior...

In Short
Atlanta has a true lack of barbecue identity. Bordered by areas with rich tradition (North Carolina, Alabama, Memphis), and with a transplant-heavy population, we have few...
Best beef brisket in Atlanta bar none!!! Their wing appetizers are a fine starter for 3 - 4 people. If you don't try the Mac & Cheese and tater tots you will have missed something special. The pull pork and the burger are also very good and save some room for the banana pudding. Nice small bar with a great...
Quality eatery. Chicken was awesome, wings too. Jalapeño poppers and brisket left a little to be desired. Mac and cheese delicious. Would go back
There is a reason the line is always out the door. This restaurant is more than a meal, it's an event. So very worth the wait. Grab a couple of beers and chill out in the grass around the building while waiting for that delicious beef brisket and mac n cheese. brb omw now
Food was awesome. I went with the two meat combo, meat portions were a little smaller but the brisket chili was AMAZING! Loses a star due to their take-out set-up needing some serious work. Firstly the take out ordering/pick-up area is right inside the front door so the people ordering, picking up, and talking to the concierge are all crammed...
Love everything I've ever eaten at Fox. Bros! Even the sides are great! Only drawback? NO PARKING! We've tried several time lately to eat there, only to have to leave because there is no available parking - and there probably is no way for them to expand their parking lot! We usually try to go at lunch during the week...

Fox Bros. Bar BQ is a relatively inexpensive BBQ joint located in Atlanta. It has everything from the delicious fried baby back rib appetizer, to the beef rib and smoked wings. This is a great place to go for a night out with a couple of friends.

Barbecue: Traditional Texas-style barbecue reins at this Candler Park eatery, located off of Dekalb Avenue. It's hard to miss. It's a huge space that's very visible from the road--as is the crowd.
It's always busy and always delicious. Portions are gigantic, so don't worry about leaving hungry. In terms of rankings, it's hard to beat this place. They get the food right, but the vibe and...
When to Go: The Thursday/Saturday beef short rib special is known to sell out, so get there early.
Parking: Theres a lot, but if its full theres a side street with parking opportunities.
Where to Sit: Despite overlooking busy DeKalb Ave and a pair of Marta Tracks, the outside patio is a great place in good weather months.
