"You'd better be hungry" before heading to the all-you-can-eat "carnivore's orgy" at this Brazilian steakhouse in a grand former bank off the Avenue of the Arts, where "gauchos" proffer "giant swords" loaded with "delicious" meat "hot off the grill", complemented by a "first-class" salad bar (but "filling up" there is a "rookie mistake"); though not cheap it's "worth it", and if you "still have...

Fogo de Chao in Philly

Brazil has given us many things. Gisele. The Brazilian-cut bikini. The caipirinha. But better than all, even Tom Brady would agree, is the churrascaria.

Fogo de Chão Restaurant Review

Grilling cowboys, a bounty of fresh salads and well-prepared meat are the hallmarks of Fogo de Chão, the carnivore's palace ensconced in the French Regency building. Blessed with an attractive space that includes floor-to-ceiling walls of wine, striking wood paneling and a dozen sparkling chandeliers dating back to 1913, the setting alone is worth a visit. But for meat-lovers there's more: 15...

Cowboys who can cook, endless amounts of fresh salads and well-prepared meat---have we died and gone to heaven? No, it’s the earthbound reality of Fogo de Chão, the Brazilian-based churrascaria ensconced in the French Regency building. Blessed with a gorgeous space, including floor-to-ceiling walls of wine, striking wood paneling and a dozen sparkling chandeliers dating back to 1913, the...

We had reservations for 2:30 and had about 15 minute wait for our table. Excellent customer service, very attentive and courteous. Food was okay, would love some additional seasonings on the meats. Side options were great and overall we all enjoyed the restaurant.

This Brazilian steakhouse is rooted in the gaucho tradition of southern Brazil, where cowboys (or gauchos) roast meat on skewers over an open fire. That traditional cooking migrated to the U.S., and from the open sky of southern Brazil, it has settled indoors under soaring ceilings, crystal chandeliers and walls covered with rich wood paneling and bottles of wine at Fogo de Chao in center city...
