Flying Squirrel Pizza Co. Lands in Georgetown

Attention pizza fans, Eater has an announcement for you, and it's a good one: Flying Squirrel is coming to Georgetown, and it's coming soon.

We caught up with owner Bill Coury to get all the scoop about the exciting news, and begged him to leave nothing out. First, location. The new shop will be opening in the former Calamity Jane's space as soon as possible. "We're hoping to be open in four...

Very, very good pizza and conveniently located to us in the Dunlap/Rainier Beach area - which 15 years was a culinary wasteland. Outstanding pizza! Best I have had in a long time

Flying Squirrel cheerfully accommodated our 30 person group in their event space on very short notice (a child birthday party moved inside due to bad weather). We enjoyed their excellent pizza, delicious appetizers and ample space to run and play. The adults loved the great selection of beers on tap. I highly recommend Flying Squirrel for groups of all sizes and ages!

Was not happy with my pizza. It was thrown together and they added the ingredients after the pizza was baked. They also close at 10 which is weak for a pizza bar!

Great pizza, but the place is very noisy. Lots of families with small kids.

Business description (3)

Flying Squirrel Pizza Co. opened its doors for business on Friday October 24th, 2008. This is a true neighborhood joint, which the chef/owner remodeled himself (and the help of some great friends and family) to ensure that his casual yet funky vision would be achieved. Since 2008 we have opened up yet another location in Ballard, and a third location in Maple Leaf late summer of 2011! Flying...
