Florio Cafe & Bar Restaurant Review

A haven for Pacific Heights locals, this cozy French bistro has lost some of the charm that initially brought it so much attention. The authentic-looking dining rooms, awash in an amber glow and filled with the wonderful scents from the kitchen, have tables packed so tightly it is, at times, a noticeable chore for the well-intentioned staff to move around. Dishes that used to shine can be...

Solid neighborhood spot with aspirations of grandeur. Handsome, golden, and aglow with polished woods and Pac Heights gilded youth. East Coast old money with subtle accents, as in cashmere crewnecks with Joe’s Jeans and Hermès loafers. Tarragon-fueled béarnaise good enough to drink, but $42 for roast chicken and fries seems a bit dear. The pan roasted petrale sole and a dry riesling for me, mummy.

When I'm in the mood for a good meal without hoopla, I head directly to bistrolike Florio. Not only because the staff is friendly; not only because it's almost always painless to get a table or dine at the bar; and not even because the place is accommodating enough to not force quick turnover. The real reason is that I'm addicted to the chicken liver pâté, roasted chicken, steak frites, and...

Intimate and charming brasserie that delivers an authentic and satisfying French/Italian dining experience.

This neighborhood gem draws an eclectic range of in-the-know customers, from Pacific Heights nuclear families tucked into the back banquette to gay couples dining at the bustling front bar. Tiled...

Food was terrible. Pasta dry and flavorless and fish "old." Never again!

Great local restaurant with SF charm. Food is fabulous! Service wonderful! Busy and bustling but not too loud. It's our "go to" place in SF.

We got a lovely window table by itself which reduced the noise level. We had a very nice dinner with friends from out of town, but best of all was the friendliness and good service of restaurant. one of our party left her glasses (which we did not realize). the restaurant called me to let me know and we made arrangements to pick them up the next day hours before they were open. They went above...

I don't understand some of the negative reviews because our dinner and drinks were delicious! They were packed, and we did have to wait a little longer for our food, but so what!? Enjoy your night out!
