The Flagship Hotel was destroyed during Hurricane Ike. Where it once stood is now the Pleasure Pier. The phone number is now to a very well respected home builder on the island.

The Flagship is under repair and will reopen in 2011

Those all those curious, Landry's has stated that they will repair the Flagship Hotel with a $11 million renovation. They hope to turn the Flagship into the Galveston Pleasure Pier with a farris wheel and carnival games along with a high end hotel. Stay tuned for more news and an opening in 2011.

Galveston icon falling into ocean

Jan/2010 visited the island and walked the beach under the hotel. Just a matter of time with the shape of the piers this thing should colaspe. Have stayed here 25+ years ago. Hate to see it this way. Ike did some damage, exterior walls missing driveway colasped to ground below. Read recent reviews up to sep/07 sounds like it should...

I stayed in Galveston March of 2009 and drove by the flagship. It was heavily damaged by Ike and does not look like it will be open for a long time if it all.

in 2005 iwent and stay with my dughter from 12-26- to 12-30 this was my first stay rooms over the ocean great well we had the sea gulls yes and feed them bread the 1 st day sight and sounds were great 2nd day we feed them soft cheedos better experience due to they actually seen the color organ motel...
