Adjoining Lakeview's DMK Burger Bar, this "popular" "hybrid between a clam shack and New Orleans po' boy house" lures with "delicious", "thoughtfully sourced" seafood, "lots of good beer" and a "relaxed", "unpretentious" atmosphere; a "small" space and "limited seating" mean there's often a "wait for a table" and you may need to shell out a bit to "fill up", "but it's seafood in Chicago, so...

Fish Bar Restaurant Review

Located next door to ever-packed DMK Burger Bar, this Michael Kornick and David Morton venture keeps things simple, from the name to the menu of raw clams and oysters, fried and seasonal seafood and interesting snacks, like buffalo frogs’ legs. Some of it --- like the tender octopus or spunky calamari with black pepper, preserved lemon and chilies --- is cooked a la plancha. Skip the uninspired...

From the minds behind DMK Burger Bar, Fish Bar is one of the best spots in Chicago for small-plate seafood dishes. As a native Marylander, I can say without a doubt that fish bar has the best crab cake, known there as the Crabby Patty, that you will find outside of the Mid-Atlantic. Stop in for their oyster happy hour, grab a cocktail, and enjoy their seaside shack decor.

The shark sliders were amazing..so moist and perfect blend of flavors the cocktails were inventive and incredibly tasty! Will return again for sure and will make more time to enjoy at leisure!!

It was a phenomenal dinner with fantastic service, an experience that's been repeated each time we've been since. The plates are small and easily...

we were looking to have seafood and found Fish bar on trip advisor. The atmosphere is very cozy, comfortable. The service was great. The food is delicious. After our dinner, our friendly waitress gave us a promotion cards for a free drink at one of their properties. This is a great marketing idea. Couple days later, when we plan to...

Excellent service. Small, so be sure to make a reservation and follow the reservation rules. Fun to share small plates with a group - but they don't take groups larger than 4 due to size.
