THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS COMPANY ARE RIGHT ON POINT!!!!
I hired Joseph Peters to work on my roof because of leakage and I wanted to be able to enjoy the roof for a patio. Not only is the workmanship extremely shoddy, but his "guarantee" is non existent. I've been calling him, complaining about the roof since he finished the job last November. He has given me a million excuses as to why it looks the way it does, and after paying him almost $5000.00, he tells me that he does not have the money to redo the roof (because it doesn't leak), yet it looks like c@!p. Also there is a big water bubble that he will not fix and it's forming a pool under the ceiling of my commercial space.
I've called him more than 15 times about this, and he will not answer my calls.
Also, he would tell me his guys were coming to work here and they wouldn't show up...9 times!!! And he wouldn't even call me to let me know they weren't showing, while I waited all day!!! He has no respect for your time.
He is extremely unreliable, there is absolutely no guarantee for his work, and he is never there to supervise, so he blames his workers and does nothing about it.
Yet, he demands his money! Beware of one of his contracts that states that if you don't pay on time, he can put a lien on your property. That's pretty nervy. His passive/aggressive act is very undesirable. He doesn't care about workmanship...just worries about getting paid.
DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!!!

Consumers Beware! Finest Homes Design of New Milford, NJ is operating without a current New Jersey Contractors License and is illegally advertising License Number13VH03904800 as their license number. I hired Joseph Peters and his company “Finest Home Design” to gut renovates my basement, and after paying thousands to him only to the find the electrical and plumbing is not up to codes, and he not follow the original approved plan. In addition, his fraudulently used an electrical and plumbing contractor’s license numbers to apply for all construction permits, while having his employees complete the entire electrical wiring and plumbing for this job. Needless to say, their work is horrifying, unprofessional, and not to up any code. Being that Joseph Peters was acting without the proper state licenses for the State of New Jersey, I have had to hire the appropriate licensed contractors to reconstruct Josephs work, and complete this renovation
J. Landry unfavorable review is untrue and misguiding. The license number in her review is incorrect. Anyone can check with NJ Consumer Affairs and check that Finest Home Designs LLC has a license that is active and in good standing. Work provided by this company is extremely satisfactory and highly recommended. Check Angie's List for A 1 standing
