In defense of Dollar Stores

My husband is wheelchair bound and has a backpack attached to the back of his chair. There are many stores where he's asked to please leave his backpack at the counter. We have no problem with that and understand fully why some stores have that policy. As far as being handicap, 99.9% of the time stores go out of their way to accomodate his chair even to go so far as to move things so he can get...

It has nothing to do with your disability

And everything to do with the fact that you had a bigger form of storage on your person.  I'm not disabled and I guarantee I would have been treated the same way.  What kind of damage do you have done to your shoulders that you are on disability?
I'd also like to know why your disability is everyone else's problem.  Last time I checked, if I have bronchitis, it isn't everyone else's...

It doesn't matter.

Just because the grocery store allowed you to have a bag doesn't mean Family Dollar is going to as well. It's Family Dollar's policy, and you have to follow it if you wish to shop there. If you don't like it, then don't go in the store. You weren't ripped off, you weren't treated differently because you're disabled, you're just trying to get attention.

Stop pointing out that you're disabled.

A lot of stores wont allow people to bring bags in. They can refuse to allow you in if you don't comply. You didn't comply, you got kicked out. Stop crying and stop trying to get sympathy because of something unrelated.

Didn't I tell you?

Hey, didn't I tell you?  I ended up going to the super market and bought some TP there.  At the SELF CHECKOUT isle I dropped a dime and a store clerk came by and picked it up for me and said, "Here you so, Sir", all the while I was wearing my back pack.  I checked out and walked out with my TP and the store treated me with respect.  I've been in the grocery store at least a hundred this year...
