Performance was not as promised

Hey, sorry it so long to get back to you. I just recently got the car out of the garage. They've been working it in when they get time sense we've been having so many issues it. I think I saved you or whoever else that might have bought it a big headache. The connecting rods were hitting the
block because the shop that built it didn't grind enough or any out of the block to make the
clearance that it would need for the new crank. So

we had to take the pan off and fix that problem
and that's when we saw that it didn't have a high flow oil pump after checking the part #. So I
replaced that meanwhile. Standard size push rods
wouldn't work as they were rubbing against the
inside of the head gasket and the rockers wouldn't

line up right on the valves (still not sure why). So
we had to measure and reorder another set of
those (not a major problem, just more diagnostic,
labor and parts costs involved). When we went to
install the trans we found out that the converter
wouldn't line up right with the crank hole. After
messing with that for a while we realized that the
machine shop honed to much off the block where
the crank sets, resulting in the crank setting up a
few 100s of an inch to high. So we had to open up

the bolt holes in the trans to account for that. So
know I got it out and drove it a little and I feel a decent vibration at higher rpms and hear chattering in the bottom end (not a bearing noise, maybe more room needs to be made for the connecting rods?). The garage and I are both stumped about the vibration. Maybe it could be from the rods or maybe the thing isn't balanced right? I'm so frustrated with the thing. I'm about ready to list the whole car on the internet and let someone else have the headache and I'll take my loss. I know bugs need to be worked out with any project but not like this. I'm way over budget due to unforseen diagnostic costs and labor work done to the engine and now that it needs more I'm stuck with the decision on whether to continue or to bail out and dump it. I'm guessing you couldn't have known about this but it really sucks you know, this motor wasn't built right.  This is an email from a guy I sold my motor to that I spent $6k on at faerman racing to say the least I was very embarssed and would never recommend them for rebuild.
