False Advertising

I went to the Dr because this is the place my husband goes to. I used to live in the area, it's familiar, the place seemed clean, staff seemed friendly. I made my appointment. Long story short, when I was telling them what I needed, the receptionist asks me do I need contacts. I told her that I wasn't too sure as usually I just take my prescription and order them online. So she goes on to tell me that they match online prices. I just thought that was WONDERFUL! I met with the doctor to do my exam and he confirmed that they indeed matched online prices. I went home to do my research. I found multiple places offering better deals than Eyeworks. I got my trial contacts. When I went for my follow up appointment, it was with a different doctor than who I saw for my exam. He asked if I was getting contacts throught them. I told him about the $23 pricing I found online per box of contacts. He told me I didn't find that. Sooo I got up and showed him the screenshot and printout of the price I found. He went on to tell me and ASSume that you'd need to purchase a certain amount of boxes and/or the shipping would factor in and everything would cost more than the $35/box they were offering. So I told him I bet once I go completely through checkout that it would STILL be less. He said to me, "I bet you won't". I went home, went online, went to yet ANOTHER site that was even less than the first I found, went through checkout and got an even better price than both Eyeworks and my original printout. I called back to speak to the receptionist just to let her know how dismissive the doctor was and to let her know that it was unfortunate they don't really match online prices and that I was going to go ahead and get them online, I'm not messing with them anymore.
To add to the fact that after I had my 5 minute follow up, the doctor then tells me that my prescription would be there the next day or Saturday. I asked them why would they bring me in for a follow up and not have my prescription ready and available to take home. He says because the "other doctor" has your prescription. Well why isn't my prescription in the file???? If I would have known this, I would have made my appointment when everything was ready.
So while this is over a mere $20 or so, in the long run they've lost my business. I still need glasses and I'm really debating on never going back there. It's false advertising to say you'll match a price and then you don't...and do it so dismissively. Totally unsatisfied with this place.
