The place overflows with roaches, and bed bugs. It is poorly ventilated. A lot of the tenants smell bad because they don't shower regularly, Their are many drug addicts, alcoholics, and exconvicts that stay at the Ewing. The staff are bullys and try to intimidate tenants. Cigarette smokers rob you of your sleep at night by smoking. The common bathroom is filthy. Your clothes smell bad...

We had a wonderful time in Chicago. We were warmly welcomed. When I told Charmaine our little one was excited to see the aquarium, she got a gift pack for my daughter. The room was clean and gorgeous. The beds are soooo comfy. Great location in the heart of the city. Pricey hotel worth a look. Check the travel sites. Great food at a major premium. Houlihan's around the corner is a better bet....

Nice Rooms, Bug Free

I stayed at the Ewing for about two years. Nice rooms for the price, and the exterminator comes about once a month to spray for bugs. Perfect. Some of the residents can be a little loud, and they bring color.

They have been very good to me. The manager has a heart if you prove yourself honest and forthright. I was down on my luck and they gave me a place to sleep. Loud at times with some rather crazy characters but, for the price, nothing to complain about. Lloyd Thompson.

The rooms are chicken wire rooms with doors. You cant have company. The community showers are awful. The place smells like feet, feces, urine and incense. But overall if you are ever down on your luck, this is the place to be....cause you will get it together real quick. Thanks Ewing Annex Hotel
