A Progressive American restaurant.

This happening pad in River North forges on, with a rooftop that’s the place to be when weather allows. As the name implies, this restaurant is, well, epic in many ways, rolling out its showy self with wining and dining appeal. The sleek, bi-level American eatery and lounge turns out raw bar selections and prettily plated, seasonal dishes, like lobster claws with grapefruit, fennel, red salt...
A winding staircase separates a second-floor dining room with soaring windows from a stylish first-floor lounge (with a different menu) at this swanky River North haunt offering "beautifully presented" upscale New American eats backed by specialty cocktails and a "well-rounded" wine list; there's also a vast rooftop in season.

Elitist bouncer...apparently if you don't meet his standards, you don't get in. EPIC fail!
I was from out of town and made to feel at home! Amazing service!
Went here for dinner on a Saturday. The place was hoppin' with a light bar scene on the first floor. We were escorted to the second floor for a cozy but open and chic atmospheric dinner.
Over cooked steak and a beer spilled down my back. Yes, I would rate this as an EPIC experience.
Estupendo,la comida muy rica el lugar super agradable..................

We stopped for dinner without a reservation, and were lucky to get a table on the top level by the railing - great view! Service was excellent, and our dinner (pork chop, steak) was excellent. Will be back to Epic for sure! Expect to pay $80 for two. -

Epic restaurant in Chicago's Near North Side is truly that. The decor is sophisticated in modern, with bold colors accentuated by soft lighting and an architecturally interesting staircase which doubles as a piece of art. The menu features regional American dishes like sweet tea glazed pork belly, premium steaks and coffee and cinnamon crusted rack of lamb. Epic is a very popular restaurant...
Industrial and refined, contemporary and traditional. Epic merges these elements with subtlety and spirit.
Expect nothing but the best service when you dine here; waiters will fold your napkin for you when you step away even for a second.
The bustling bar is quite the scene. Head here for a cocktail (or a light bite from the bar menu) even if you are not splurging on a dinner reservation.
Don't pass on the homemade rolls that are brought to the table; they are infused with a satisfying hint of garlic and parmesan.
