Part of our mission at Brookdale is to provide choices for our residents, and it starts with the type of rooms we have to offer. Emeritus at Emerson has three floors with a total of 98 senior apartments (we have studios, one-bedroom, two-bedrooms, and companion rooms). We have many areas of community space in which our residents can relax and entertain, including our backyard patio.

Iagree with the previous review. My family has been here for 4 years and the last year. The management is not available to you when there is an issue. Previous management was much better.

Initially, Emeritus seems to be a lovely community where the majority of the residents are high functioning and happy. They seem to be constantly short-staffed which causes long waits for care for impatient elderly residents. They are not accommodating to a resident's needs and expect the resident to bend to accommodate their routine. Management of the facility is generally poor.
Entry and hallways were nice...Staff very pleasant. Knew all the residents by name. Cafe(snack area) was run-down/wallpaper peeling/garbage overflowing. Rooms had "jutt-outs" in its architecture, leaving limited wallspace for furniture. Small rooms!
