There's finally a new chef de cuisine at The Lobby, filling Lee Wolen's large shoes after he exited to reboot Boka around four months ago. Seth Moliterno, who worked under Thomas Keller and Mindy Segal and most recently was executive sous at Embeya, is that man.
Moliterno, who started this week, has roots in classical French cooking and will launch a "totally new menu" in a few weeks. The...
Wine may not be as trendy as craft beer these days, but many Chicago restaurants can still build a great list. Their picks for the top 11 wine lists in...

Steve Dolinsky, ABC7: I spent way too much time at Au Cheval, mostly taking out-of-towners, but also to satisfy my sick craving for a double cheeseburger, no bacon or egg.
Chris LaMorte, Urban Daddy: Chez Moi. My friendly neighborhood bistro. I love a French restaurant that you actually hear the table next to you actually speaking French.
We recently went to Embeya because they're hosting their Thailand menu which we were super excited about. The food didn't disappoint - we were very happy and full and highly recommend Embeya to others who love Asian cuisine!
Very slow service and super long meal for lunch.
The food was absolutely outstanding. The fixed price menu was great sharing for our group of four. All four of us loved the Thai influence in the dishes as well as a couple of surprising ingredients. The service was perfect. It was a wonderful all around experience.
My initial visit to Embeya was excellent, and my second visit did not disappoint! The menu had changed to feature the Thai palate, and everyone in the group had a delicious meal. Both the flavors and the textures were so interesting, and the artistic presentation of the food made it so appetizing. Our server was knowledgeable and accommodating, and he contributed to a lovely dining experience....
Great space. Disappointed with the smoked scallops. Didn't stay for dessert. I enjoy Thai food but wouldn't go back.
An additional description has been posted by the restaurant titled "Progressive Asian."
