Good change from the national chains. The food was great, I had the carnitas dinner and my wife had the poblano chicken and both were very good with a large serving. The margaritas were great as well as the service. We were in town to visit The Edinburgh Pixy Theatre. Well worth the stop.

Read a few reviews about Eljefe on here before stopping in on our way through Edinburgh. Eljefe is a cute little restaurant, has good food, and it is reasonably priced. They had a great deal on an enormous margarita that night too.

Good Mexican food away from the mall and chain-food

My wife and I can down to Edinburgh for the outlet shopping - about the only reason we would come. We looked at all the chain options and were underwhelmed. My wife had eaten at a few previously. We decided to have a change of pace and drove up north (less than 10 minutes) into downtown Edinburgh.

Not impressive

The iced tea was cloudy. The cheese dip was not flavorful. My nieces liked the nachos & quesadillas but my taco salad was disappointing. I didn't even really like the salsa. Skip it.
