I spent $4200 to rebuild my transmission. It lasted less than 2 years and 14,000 miles. The "gentleman" who answered my phone call inquiring about my warranty was extremely rude and not helpful. He told me (in a snarky way) that I had to bring my car in and present a receipt for him to talk to me about my warranty. This was not mentioned when I paid them $4,200. These guys are dirtbags.

Ed's is still open today under new management. PLEASE be aware! DO NOT take your cars here! I don't know how long they've owned it *the '11 and '13 reviews are probably them!* but they're crooks! They charged us for a service that was to be included with the cost of the original purchase on our second vehicle (first one they didn't charge us). Reluctantly they refunded us - I was in hospital...

I recently took my jaguar s type to get my transmission diagnosed and get an estimate. They started fixing my car without my consent and wanted to charge me 3500 for it. They turned out to be verbally abusive when I requested to get my car back.

This shop did extremely shoddy work on my transmission

This shop did the most crappy piece of $h!t work for me!

Including:

anti-sieze in places in did not belong

missing and loose bolts on the transmission, motor and exhaust system

rubber dust boots not re-installed and left flapping in the wind

The worst thing was that they stripped out 4 of 6 bolt holes on my motor - leaving only 2 bolts to secure my motor.

I was the director of operations for a local transportation company, and took every single one of my 30 vehicles there from day one, I now take all of my personal vehicles there and my family and friends do to. They are the only mechanics I trust to work on my transmissions, they are up front and very reasonable, they also stand behind there work 100% I have no idea what this other persons...
