Facts of Bail Bonding

Like the other person commented the papers you signed at the time of release was a bail contract.
However any property or funds taken other than the premium charged for services should have been listed in the Bond File as Collateral and you should have been given a reciept for this.
If this did not happen it was bad business on their part and poor protection on yours. How ever they should be...

She had to sign papers in the jail or at the court; this was her bail contract and she was advised of any special conditions.
Don't blame the bonding agent for you not knowing how these things work.
You paid them an agreed upon fee for a service they rendered. This is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Over one year ago, I paid $3,113.00 to Easy Out Bonding, Gainesville, Ga., to post bond for my daughter, who'd been arrested in Hall County, Ga. Her case was finally heard and disposed of 4 months ago, and this company now refuses to return my collateral in the amount of $2,500.00, citing a violation of "the contract".

I paid Ms. Ann Farmer, Owner of Easy Out Bonding, Gainesville, Georgia, $757.00 on 8-31-04, to post bail for a family member being held at Habersham County Jail.
Three weeks later, this company cancelled the bond, after family member was re-arrested, never bothered to tell me, and now refuses to return collateral of $560.00.
They've avoided my phone calls all along, but now no longer ...
