The Eastside Restaurant Review

The Eastside manages to give a new twist to old favorites: a cheese plate is teamed with a chunk of island honeycomb, while the fried calamari is enlivened with a spicy pickled mango and red pepper namasu. Spring rolls, packed with shrimp, scallops and grilled red onions, are brightened with tangy papaya-mint vinaigrette. Barbecued baby-back ribs, glazed with sweet-tart hoisin sauce, are so...

Stopped here on our way back from Priceville. More red the chicken tacos. The chicken was clearly boiled when it was cooked and over boiled at that. It was probably also boiled a good two or three days ago. This was not "marinated" ever! The plate ( for $14.95) came with yellow rice, beans, shredded lettuce, salsa, and a sautéed...

We stopped by the Eastside Café in September of 2015. We had to park about a half a block up the road, as it is located right on the main drag and there was no parking available close to the front of the restaurant.
We were able to be seated right away, although we arrived approximately 1:30 pm. The waitress...

Very good lunch with EXCELLENT ceviche

The tacos were good, with everything fresh and well prepared, but the ceviche was to die for. Nice chunks of ahi, avocado and I-don't-know-what-else in the marinade, great flavor. And the fresh chips with it were excellent too. Very...

We enjoyed a late lunch. The food was fresh and our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The pork belly sticky buns were fantastic!

We had our Thanksgiving dinner there, were very pleased with the menu offered, not only the special dinner but the normal menu. The service was excellent, very friendly, and courteous, and the price was great.

Business description (1)

Don't let the elegant look of Eastside deter you, this fancy looking restaurant doesn't have prices to match, and the food is still exceptionally tasty. The head chief here is very talented, turning out a number of special meals while also adding a unique flair to the island's favorites. Everything served here seems freshly caught, or picked. The service is attentive and pleasant, and they even...
